Life can sometimes throw us a curve as we travel its winding road. One day we find peace and serenity, and another the utmost of tumultuous events.
That is what Troy Norton has found—a life of winding roads that he did not want nor ask to travel. His past has once again come to haunt him in the form of obsession. A word, by definition, can take so many forms and have so many different meanings. Years after leaving a special ops career behind; Troy Norton is basking in the comfortable bliss of life as a family man. Entirely devoted to his wife and his teenage daughter, things couldn’t be better—aside from a midlife crisis occasionally threatening to rear its ugly head. But this normal life takes a devastating turn when a night out with friends ends in tragedy and starts a tailspin of deceit and one woman’s obsession. After waking up in a sanitarium straight out of an old classic, Troy comes face-to-face with Dr. Erica Pendergrass—a psychiatrist and computer neuroscientist with a dangerous obsession, and the advanced technology to make sure she gets exactly what she wants. Now Troy is forced to sit back helplessly, as an unending love threatens to destroy everything and everyone who gets in its way. And unfortunately for him, that includes the most precious people in his life—those whom he would do anything to keep out of harm’s way. Love Has No Ending combines the dark obsession of Misery with the action and high-tech drama of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for an unforgettable thrill ride through the human psyche—and twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end. Thunder roars and lightning illuminates the sky. A fierce downpour of rain streams down the window. Troy jolts upward from the bed back at Pendergrass Sanitarium. Sweat drenches his forehead, and his body quivers and shakes as he comes out of his nightmare. Was this a nightmare or something that really happened? Something from his past? His panicky eyes pop wide open as he gasps for air and yells out, "Madi!" As quickly as he jolts up, the tight restraints wrapped around his wrists and ankles clamp him down. His eyes search around the room trying to figure out where he is. Fretful, his mind races, wondering what is going on and where is this place that holds him captive? From the desk of M. RéShor Working on Book 2 of the trilogy...
New Section from Book 2: NEXT… “Jill! Jill! Hurry, help her. Get her out of there.” Troy yells. Pinned underneath the vehicle. In excruciating pain, she moans a little. “Oh, my love,” he cries out. “Stay with me. Stay with me.” Again, he stretches his hand out toward her trying to touch her hand or some part of her. “The team of emergency rescuers continue to work on getting Jill out from under the car. “You’re gonna be alright.” Troy yells out to her. Her eyes fixed on his, she faints into an unconscious state. In what would seem like hours upon hours, finally, Jill is pulled from underneath the car. The rescue team quickly puts her bloody body on a gurney then onto a medi-flight helicopter, a couple of blocks across from them. An IV dangles from the side of the gurney, but Troy is nowhere to be found. His breathing sporatic, heavy then shallow from running. He had to run to escape as he watched the love of his life from the shadows at the edge of the alley, a short distance away, being whisked off in a helicopter not knowing what state she was in or where she would be taken. As he watched the emergency team work to get his wife unpinned, he overheard a call from a dispatcher come in over a police car intercom alongside them. The dispatcher reported, "the crime committed, we have an identity. The man seen who committed this just came up on the camera. It was from underground, from the subway. The man was 6'2" to 6'4” tall, dark haired mingled with grey and he had a beard.” She had described Troy and the man on the camera confirmed it. So, he couldn’t stay with Jill. He had to leave her, unprotected. His cell phone rings. I’m introducing another new character in the second book, Police Chief Dora Tisdale-Shameus. Yes, Detective Shameus’ ex-wife. A SOPHISTICATED AND BUSTLING state-of the art police station. Virtual technology at its best and a busy scene at Ochton Town's police station. Plainclothes and uniformed police research, review, and discuss the main case at hand. Some work at their virtual screens while others huddle together in discussions over papers and screenshots they are reviewing. The clock is ticking and time is of essence. Police Chief Dora Tisdale-Shameus stands in front of a wall-to-wall virtual computer screen while her young lover and detective understudy, Detective Morris. Three days and two nights have gone by since the catastrophic events turned this small city upside down. With rolled up sleeves a fourth of the way up his arms and below the elbow, Detective Morris touches the screen sliding and scanning over various pictures at the crime scene. The days have been long and the nights even longer. And not nights with her lover, but at the station trying to filter through this menace that has plagued her city. Trying to piece this tragic and monstrous puzzle together before anything else leaves its extremely horrendous scars. Screenshot after screenshot of bloody bodies lying across the floor of a trashed out building ripped apart from the explosion flash across the screen as he slides his finger across the screen. Dora instructs him. “Ok, next.” Detective Morris quickly slides to the next screen like a soldier following his drill sergeant’s demands while Police Chief Dora probes over each screenshot studying and looking for a clue, something that could provide a lead to solving why this happened and finding who they think the culprit is, Troy. Impatient Police Chief Dora says, “Gordian knot. Next,” she commands rushing him. “You’re moving at a snail’s pace.” “Wait,” he fusses. “Yeah, give the kid a break.” Detective Shameus, her ex-, sarcastically implies because his jealous male ego is offended that the woman he lost has moved on romantically and repeated what he did to her. Two can't play that game in his book. He looks on standing over her shoulder which annoys Dora immensely. She can barely stomach his uninvited attention to this case. “You two ganging upon me, huh. Wait for what. I’ve got a morgue overrun with 30 dead bodies and another 47 in the hospital either critically hurt or trying to survive and you have the audacity to tell me to wait. I’m sorry if that infantile brain of yours is still stuck between the legs of your even more infantile…what is she called…uh… your new wife. I don’t have that luxury.” “Man, how do you put up with that?” Irritated, Detective Shameus retorts when he rejoins the balls she just plucked from between his legs. Mumbling the words out, he stutters with his gruff deep voice. “Now-now-now, it’s when you talk like that, that’s why I left you the first time.” He pulls out his nerve calming e-cigarette case and opens it to pull one of his fake cigarettes out. Angry, he slams the case shut and begins to repeatedly tap the case with a fake cigarette. It's been four years since she had laid eyes on him. Since he dumped her for that younger version. With a less than patient and intolerant temperament, she peers over the top of the lenses that crouch her nose giving him a scowl look. She remarks, “Next.” Audiobook Section:Dora is wrapped in Stokely's arms making love. Then, he covers her face with the softness of his lips circling her face with sweet touches. He ends it with a passionate succulent kiss on her lips. "Ohhhhh, you are what the doctor ordered." Stokely is fifteen years her junior--handsome, dark, and a body of a gladiator. "And, I have another prescription," he says to her. He slides down ... She moans in total ecstasy. "Doctor, doctorrrrr! ***** Detective Shameus deboards the plane. He looks around and views the signs overhead reading them for directions, then exits to the outside. Once outside, he stops to light up an eCigarette. ***** As Dora is pleasured by her young lover, in the heat of that passionate moment and as his tongue quivers between...she is about to reach her climactic moment. But suddenly, she panics and begins to perspire heavily and hyperventilate. Her thick voluptuous thighs lock around his neck choking him. She yells, "He's here!" SUBMIT A TITLE FOR BOOK 2!
